iNOW Legend Ambassador, Tabea Ruegge, wins The Stone Xtreme Triathlon

On 5 July 2025 the legendary Stone Xtreme Triathlon took place in Italy - a race known for its challenging course and early start times. 

Swim: 3.8Km

The start already took place at 4 o'clock in the morning. The athletes were ferried to the other side of the lake - a typical scenario for this race. From there, Tabea swam the 3.8 kilometres back, guided by a single spotlight on the shore. The conditions were challenging: warm water, noticeable waves and limited visibility made orientation difficult. Time and again, Tabea had to switch to breaststroke to keep her direction.

Road bike: 175km / 4'200hm

At 05:20 Tebea was already in the saddle. After a flat start, the first storm clouds appeared on the horizon - followed shortly afterwards by pouring rain and Abdominal crampswhich demanded everything from her. With the Mortirolo and the Gavia Pass two iconic climbs followed - accompanied by icy cold. But as if that wasn't enough, she also pulled on a Plates and thereby lost 25 minutes. The question had long been circling in her head: How am I supposed to run another 39 kilometres after that?

Running: 39km / 2'350hm

With the support of her husband Dinu she fought her way forwards step by step. The downhill sections in particular were an enormous strain on her exhausted body. But she remained focused - and in the last 7 kilometres, again at Dinu's side, a technically spectacular section of the course followed. Then the time had finally come: the Finish - Emotional, deserved and simple spectacular.

After a long battle, Tabea was crowned the winner. We would like to take a bow for this exceptional performance. for more impressions.
