declaration

Thank you for your interest in the iNOW website. We take the issues of data protection and confidentiality very seriously and follow the applicable national and European data protection regulations. Therefore, with this statement, we inform you about data protection measures and which data we may store and how we use this data.

Data protection is a matter of trust and your trust is important to us. We respect your privacy and personal sphere. The protection and legally compliant collection, processing and use of your personal data is therefore an important concern for us. To ensure that you feel safe when visiting our websites, we strictly observe the legal provisions when processing your personal data and would like to inform you here about our data collection and data use.

  1. Collection, processing and use of personal data

3.1 Personal data
Personal data is information about the factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address and all inventory data that you provide to us during registration and when creating your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our web shop and that cannot be directly linked to your person are not included here. For example, these are statistics about which pages of our shop are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages of the iNOW shop.

3.2 Customer account
We set up password-protected direct access to their inventory data stored with us (customer account) for every customer who registers accordingly. Here they can view data on their completed, open and recently dispatched orders and manage their address data, bank details and newsletter. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make it accessible to any unauthorised third party. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.

3.3 Collection, processing and use of your personal data
We strictly adhere to the legal provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act when collecting, processing and using your personal data. We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our services, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or billing or if you have given your prior consent. In the context of order processing, for example, the service providers we use (such as carriers, logisticians, banks) receive the necessary data for order and order processing. The data passed on in this way may only be used by our service providers to fulfil their task. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not take place with any of the service providers entrusted by us.

For your order we need your correct name, address and payment details. We need your e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt of your order and communicate with you. We also use this for your identification (customer login). Furthermore, you will receive your order and shipping confirmation via your e-mail address.

Your personal data will be deleted if there are no legal obligations to retain it and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is not permitted for other legal reasons.

3.4 Use of your data for advertising purposes
In addition to processing your data to process your purchase or enquiry with iNOW, we also use your data to communicate with you about your orders, specific products or marketing promotions and to recommend products or services that may be of interest to you.

You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time, either in whole or for individual measures, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact details mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

3.4.1 Individual advertising for you
Information that we receive from you helps us to permanently improve your shopping experience and to make it customer-friendly and individual for you. The information you provide and automatically generated is used to design advertising tailored to you and your interests. We use existing information for this purpose, such as confirmations of receipt and reading of e-mails, information about your computer and connection to the Internet, operating system and platform, your order history, your service history, the date and time of your visit to the homepage and the products you have viewed.

We use this information exclusively in pseudonymised form. By analysing and evaluating this information, it is possible for us to improve our website and our internet offer, as well as to send you individual advertising. This means advertising that recommends products that may actually be of interest to you. Our aim is to make our advertising more useful and interesting for you. Therefore, the evaluation and analysis of the pseudonymised data collected from you helps us to ensure that we do not send you advertising indiscriminately. Rather, we send you advertising, such as newsletters, product recommendations, by e-mail or letter advertising, which correspond to your areas of interest. In this respect, we also compare, for example, which of our advertising emails you open in order to avoid sending unnecessary emails to you.

I agree that iNOW may use the data provided by me and other information stored on my customer account, as well as pseudonymised usage data, to present me with personalised advertising and/or special offers and services.

If you do not wish to receive personalised advertising, you can object to this at any time, either in full or for specific measures. A notification in text form to the contact details mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

3.4.2 Competitions, market and opinion research
On our website, we permanently or temporarily offer the opportunity to participate in sweepstakes or competitions and similar promotions. In order to process these promotions, personal data such as e-mail address, name, address and, if necessary, other data required for the promotion may be collected, processed and, if requested, passed on to third parties. All personal data provided as part of such a promotion will be used exclusively for the purpose of processing the promotion, e.g. for determining the prize, notification or sending the prize.
iNOW employees are generally excluded from participating in competitions.

  1. Cookies

In certain cases, we use so-called cookies. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

  1. Log files

Each time the iNOW website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The data records stored contain the following data: Date and time of access, name of the accessed page, IP address, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to the iNOW website), the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information of the browser used.

The IP addresses of the users are deleted or anonymised after termination of use. In the case of anonymisation, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person or can only be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and labour.

We evaluate these log file data records in anonymised form in order to further improve our offer in the iNOW Shop and make it more user-friendly, to find and correct errors more quickly and to control server capacities. Furthermore, by analysing the log files, we can also identify and rectify any errors in the iNOW-Shop more quickly.

  1. Web Analysis

In order to constantly improve and optimise our offer, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this purpose, we use the services of Google Analytics.

6.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

Further information can be found at: or at http://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html.

  1. Use of Facebook plugins

Plugins of the social network Facebook (1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) are integrated on our pages. You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook "Like" button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages on your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate the visit to our pages with your user account.

We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. You can find more information on this in Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

  1. SSL encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

  1. Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact data you enter there, including your IP address, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

  1. Right to information, blocking and revocation

You have the right to access, correct, block or delete your personal data stored by us. Furthermore, you can revoke your consent to the future use of your data. For this purpose as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

  1. Amendment of this privacy policy

Changes to this privacy statement by iNOW may occur at any time. Please consult this statement regularly.

  1. Legal basis

When processing your personal data, we take into account not only the Swiss Data Protection Act and its Ordinance, but also - where applicable - the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (Art. 1-14 DSG and VDSG Art.1-2, EU-DSGVO).
